The Bazetta Cortland Optimist Club was formed by people who wanted
to reach out to help youth and the community. People like you and me.
Optimist Club Members live or work in the community. Our members have
joined together to serve others and promote Optimisim as a way of life.
Optimist Club Members receive as much as they give:

Purpose of an Optimist Club
To meet the needs of young people in communities worldwide. Since 1919
Clubs have conducted positive service projects aimed at providing a helping
hand to youth.
Club members are best known in their communities for their upbeat attitudes,
by believing in young people and empowering them to be the best they can be.
Optimist volunteers continually make this world a better place to live.
There are 75,000 individual members who belong to 2,600 autonomous clubs.
Optimist conduct 65,000 service projects.
Each mission provides hope and a positive vision that brings out the best in kids.
Optimist International is recognized worldwide as a premier volunteer orginization
that values all children and helps them develop to their ful potential.
